Getting started with Ella(dx) is simple. First, select the lab panel that best aligns with your health and wellness goals. After completing your purchase, you will receive a lab requisition form by email. Bring this form to the nearest Labcorp location to complete your blood draw—no appointment is necessary, though you may schedule one if you prefer. Once your sample is collected, your results will be available within 2 to 7 business days, depending on the panel you selected. You will receive both a text and email notification when your results are ready to review.
Can I use insurance with Ella(dx)?
Ella(dx) does not require or process insurance. All of our pricing is transparent and upfront, so you know exactly what you're paying for—no surprise bills, no copays, and no paperwork. Our goal is to make lab testing accessible and stress-free, especially for those who are uninsured, underinsured, or simply looking for more control over their health care choices.

Do I need a doctor’s referral to order a test?
No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to use Women's health. Our service is designed to provide you with direct access to high-quality lab testing, putting your health decisions back in your hands—quickly, privately, and without the hassle of a traditional doctor’s appointment.
How will I receive my results?
Results are securely delivered via our online portal, where you can view, download, or share them with your healthcare provider.
How do I place an order for lab testing?
After completing a short online intake, you’ll receive a personalized test recommendation. Once you select your test panel and complete payment, you’ll be emailed a lab requisition form within 24 hours.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept major credit cards, debit cards, and HSA/FSA cards. We also accept Affirm, Afterpay, and Klarna.
I didn’t receive my lab order email. What should I do?
Check your spam or promotions folder first. If you still can’t find it, contact our support team and we’ll resend it right away.
Are refunds available?
Due to the nature of lab testing, refunds are not available once an order is processed. Please ensure you select the correct test before completing your purchase.
Can I get my blood drawn at home?
We currently do not offer at-home phlebotomy, but this service is coming soon to select locations across 35 states, based on your zip code. Availability will be confirmed before your lab order, and the cost will be an additional $75 for this service.
Do I need to fast before my blood draw?
Some tests require fasting (especially those related to glucose or lipids). If fasting is needed, instructions will be included in your requisition email. Generally, fasting means no food or drinks (except water) for 8–12 hours.
How long does it take to get my results?
Lab results are usually ready within 5 to 7 business days after your sample is collected. You’ll be notified by email and can access your results through your patient portal.
Are my lab results private?
Absolutely. All lab results are stored in a HIPAA-compliant portal. Only you—and any provider you authorize—can access your personal health data.
I have questions about my results — who can I talk to?
Each result includes an easy-to-read summary. If you'd like more support, you can schedule a virtual consultation with one of our partner providers, or share the results with your primary care physician.
I ordered my test — what happens next?
Once your order is placed, you’ll receive an email within 24 hours with your lab requisition and instructions. From there, you can book your blood draw at a Quest Diagnostics location or schedule an at-home visit if available in your area.
